Bomb Threat Triggers Security Response

The Delhi High Court received a bomb threat through email on August 14, 2026, leading to heightened security measures across the court premises.

According to sources, the threatening email, received at approximately 2:11 PM, warned of a possible blast at the High Court complex.

Following the alert, the Registrar General of the Delhi High Court reportedly coordinated with the Delhi Police to ensure an immediate security response.

Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Teams Deployed

Security agencies immediately intensified checks within and around the High Court premises after receiving the threat.

Bomb disposal squads, sniffer dog units and additional security personnel were deployed to conduct a comprehensive search operation.

The incident occurred just one day before Independence Day, a period during which security arrangements across the national capital had already been strengthened.

Multiple Government Installations Also Receive Threat Emails

According to police sources, several government installations across Delhi also received similar bomb threat emails on the same day.

Authorities launched coordinated search operations at multiple locations identified in the threatening communications.

The operations involved personnel from the Delhi Police, bomb disposal units, dog squads and the fire department.

No Suspicious Object Found

Authorities stated that no suspicious object had been discovered at any of the locations searched so far.

Security personnel continued inspections as a precautionary measure while investigators assessed the credibility of the threats and attempted to trace their origin.

Investigation Continues

Police and other security agencies have initiated an investigation to identify the individual or group responsible for sending the emails.

Although no explosive material has been detected, security measures remain in place while authorities continue their inquiries.
